Does Veo 3.1 benefit from audio-specific prompts?

Yes. Veo 3.1 generates synchronized dialogue, ambient sound, and SFX natively. Explicitly prompt for audio elements: 'she says in a low whisper', 'crowd murmurs in the background', 'sharp thunderclap at the climax'.

What prompt length works best for Veo 3.1?

Veo 3.1 handles medium-length prompts well — 3–5 sentences, ~100 words. Its strength is cinematic motion and audio, so prioritize camera direction and auditory detail over extra visual modifiers.

How do I get broadcast-quality color from Veo 3.1?

Veo 3.1 defaults to broadcast-ready 24fps. Reinforce with prompt terms like 'cinematic color grade', 'film stock 35mm', 'Kodak Vision3', 'anamorphic lens' to guide the look. Specify aspect ratio (16:9, 9:16) explicitly.

Example of a strong Veo 3.1 prompt?

Example: 'Handheld documentary shot of a chef plating a dish in a bustling restaurant kitchen, steam rising, pans clattering in the background, warm tungsten key light, shallow depth of field, cinematic 35mm grade, subject says to camera: "Let's make something special tonight."'

Can I prompt Veo 3.1 for specific dialogue?

Yes. Place the line in quotes with a speaker tag. Veo 3.1 will render synchronized lip movement and a voice that matches the scene. Keep dialogue short (one to two lines) for best sync quality.
