Question 1

Why look for a Sora alternative?

Accepted Answer

Access, breadth, and audio. Tab runs frontier video models that are broadly available today — Veo 3.1 (Google DeepMind), Kling 3.0 Pro (Kuaishou), Seedance 2.0 (ByteDance), Hailuo 2.3 (MiniMax) — plus image and audio models, all in one workspace.

Question 2

Which Tab model is closest to Sora's lane?

Accepted Answer

Veo 3.1 is closest in cinematic ambition and adds native synchronized dialogue + SFX. For 4K master output, Kling 3.0 Pro is unmatched in 2026. For multimodal reference-driven scenes, Seedance 2.0 leads.

Question 3

Does Tab run Sora?

Accepted Answer

Tab runs frontier external models from Google DeepMind, Kuaishou, ByteDance, MiniMax, OpenAI, Anthropic, ElevenLabs, Suno, and Mirelo. Specific Sora availability depends on OpenAI's API access policy at the time you use it. The closest substitute today is Veo 3.1 — see /veo-3-1.

Question 4

Can I match Sora-style cinematic shots?

Accepted Answer

Yes — see /ai-for-filmmaking. Veo 3.1 covers dialogue + cinematic, Kling 3.0 Pro covers 4K masters, Seedance 2.0 covers reference-driven. Use Agent mode to chain them.

Question 5

How does pricing compare?

Accepted Answer

Tab starts with free workspace access, then 400 credits free for 7 days when you choose a paid plan and add a card. Mini starts at $40/month and Pro starts at $80/month after the trial. All models included. See /pricing.

Question 6

Where should I start?

Accepted Answer

Open /text-to-video, /veo-3-1, or /plugins?tab=templates. For a head-to-head, see /flik-vs-sora.
