Question 1

What is Manual mode in Tab?

Accepted Answer

Manual mode bypasses the agent and gives you direct control: pick a specific generative model (Veo 3.1, Kling 3.0 Pro, Kling 2.6, Kling o3 Edit, Kling o3 Ref, Seedance 2.0, Seedance 2.0 Fast, Hailuo 2.3, Seedream 5.0, Nano Banana Pro/2, ElevenLabs 3.0, Suno 5.5, Mirelo 1.5), write the prompt exactly the way you want, and tune references and parameters yourself.

Question 2

Who should use Manual mode?

Accepted Answer

Creators who know what they want at a technical level — film directors, motion designers, prompt engineers, creative agencies. Manual mode is the right choice when you want exact control over shot language, camera motion, style references, or when you're testing one specific model in isolation.

Question 3

Is Manual mode harder than Agent mode?

Accepted Answer

It's more work per generation, but more deterministic. You write a full prompt (we have prompting guides for every supported model), set references, and render. See our Veo 3.1, Kling, Seedance, Hailuo, Seedream, Nano Banana, ElevenLabs, and Suno prompting guides for step-by-step formulas.

Question 4

Can I mix Manual mode with Agent or Chat mode in the same project?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Start with Agent mode for the first pass, then switch to Manual mode for a specific shot you want to fine-tune, then back to Chat mode to keep iterating. Tab's workspace remembers context across mode switches.

Question 5

Which models are available in Manual mode?

Accepted Answer

Every generative model in Tab: Veo 3.1, Kling 3.0 Pro, Kling 2.6, Kling o3 Edit, Kling o3 Ref, Seedance 2.0, Seedance 2.0 Fast, Hailuo 2.3, Seedream 5.0, Nano Banana Pro, Nano Banana 2, ElevenLabs 3.0, Suno 5.5, and Mirelo 1.5. Agent/chat models (Claude, Gemini) aren't used in Manual mode — they're for Agent and Chat modes only.
