Question 1

GPT 5.6 vs GPT 5.5 — which should I use?

Accepted Answer

Use GPT 5.6 for the newest, strongest OpenAI reasoning and tool use — it's the current flagship. GPT 5.5 remains available for workflows already tuned around it. In Tab you switch per chat, so you can compare both on the same brief.

Question 2

Is GPT 5.6 worth switching to over GPT 5.5?

Accepted Answer

For your hardest, multi-step projects, GPT 5.6 generally reasons and plans better. For lighter, high-volume work, either model is fine — and GLM 5.2 is cheaper still.
