Question 1

What is GPT 5.6 best at?

Accepted Answer

GPT 5.6 is OpenAI's latest and most capable model for multi-step reasoning, coding, and tool use. In Tab it powers Agent mode for demanding creative projects — planning a video, orchestrating image/voice/music generation, and iterating across versions.

Question 2

GPT 5.6 vs GPT 5.5 — what's the difference?

Accepted Answer

GPT 5.6 is the newer flagship, with stronger reasoning and tool use than GPT 5.5. Both remain available in Tab's agent model picker, so you can switch per chat; pick 5.6 for your hardest projects and 5.5 when you already have a workflow tuned around it.

Question 3

GPT 5.6 vs Claude Opus 4.8 — which should I pick?

Accepted Answer

Both are top-tier agent models. Pick GPT 5.6 for OpenAI-style reasoning and broad world knowledge; pick Claude Opus 4.8 for long-form writing and nuanced creative direction. You can switch per chat in Tab, so try both on the same brief.

Question 4

How do I use GPT 5.6 in Tab?

Accepted Answer

Open the agent model picker at the bottom of the prompt bar on the homepage and select GPT 5.6. Your choice persists per chat, so you can run GPT 5.6 on one project and Claude or Gemini on another.

Question 5

Is GPT 5.6 available on every plan?

Accepted Answer

Yes. GPT 5.6 is available across Free, Mini, and Pro plans. Usage draws from your plan's credit pool like every other agent model.
