Question 1

Gemini 3.1 Pro vs 3 Flash — which to pick?

Accepted Answer

Gemini 3.1 Pro for balanced reasoning and multimodal-heavy work. Gemini 3 Flash for speed and cost — it's the cheapest agent model in Tab, ideal for lightweight turns and bulk iteration.

Question 2

Is Flash worse than Pro?

Accepted Answer

It's optimized for different things. Flash trades depth of reasoning for fastest response time and lowest per-request cost. For simple tool calls and rapid back-and-forth, Flash is often the right choice.

Question 3

When should I NOT use Flash?

Accepted Answer

For complex multi-step creative briefs that need deep reasoning — use Gemini 3.1 Pro, or switch to Claude Sonnet 4.6 / Opus 4.7 which lead on reasoning.

Question 4

Are both available in every Tab plan?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Gemini 3.1 Pro and Gemini 3 Flash are available across Free, Mini, and Pro plans. Usage is metered against your plan's credit pool.
