Question 1

How is Tab Video Editor different from CapCut?

Accepted Answer

CapCut is a social-first video editor built around templates, captions, effects, and fast creator publishing. Tab is an agentic AI video workspace: it combines smooth browser editing with chat context, project assets, and multi-model generation from Veo, Kling, Seedance, Hailuo, image, voice, and music models.

Question 2

What are Tab's agentic editing capabilities?

Accepted Answer

Tab keeps the assistant connected to the project, so editing is not isolated from generation. The workspace can help plan edits, reason about assets, guide model choices, and keep timeline work, prompts, chat, and outputs in one loop.

Question 3

Is Tab a CapCut alternative?

Accepted Answer

Yes, if you want AI-native creation and editing rather than a mostly template-driven social editor. CapCut is excellent for quick mobile/social edits; Tab is stronger when the project starts with AI generation and needs a smooth editor plus model choice.

Question 4

Can I try Tab Video Editor with a real project?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The try button copies a demo project into your account and opens that copy directly in video editor mode, so you can test the editor without changing the source project.
