Question 1

How long should each AI video shot be?

Accepted Answer

Short-form: 1–2 seconds per shot for hooks, 2–4 seconds for the body. Long-form: 3–6 seconds per shot, 8+ for atmospheric beats. Veo 3.1 generates ~8s clips natively; Seedance 2.0 generates 15s multi-shot; Kling 3.0 Pro stitches up to 60s.

Question 2

How do I get beat-synced cuts in AI video?

Accepted Answer

Seedance 2.0 has native beat-sync — feed it the audio reference and motion locks to the tempo. For models without beat-sync (Veo 3.1, Kling 3.0 Pro), generate to a fixed shot length and cut to the beat in your NLE. See /seedance-2-0.

Question 3

What pacing works for the opening hook?

Accepted Answer

1–2 second cuts for the first 3 seconds. Lead with motion, not stillness — push-in, whip-pan, or fast dolly-out beat a static establishing shot for retention on TikTok, Reels, and Shorts.

Question 4

How do I prompt for a slow burn?

Accepted Answer

Use 'long take, locked-off camera, slow ambient motion' and avoid camera moves. Veo 3.1 holds atmosphere well; Kling 3.0 Pro is strongest for sustained 4K static beauty shots.

Question 5

What pacing works for ads?

Accepted Answer

15s ad: hook (1s) → product (2s) → use case (3s) → emotional beat (3s) → close + CTA (6s). 30s: double the use-case section. See /ai-video-for-ads.

Question 6

Where do I see this in templates?

Accepted Answer

Open /plugins?tab=templates and look at the Trailer, Music Video, and Commercial templates — each ships with a pre-built pacing pattern.
